Our Story
Dr. Sam, a dedicated primary care physician in a small Michigan town, loved caring for his patient. However, his biggest challenges were piles of paperwork, follow-up calls, and billing issues. He spent more time juggling admin work than he did practicing medicine. Frustrated and overwhelmed, he reached out to his longtime friends, Aby and Jay, both of whom were seasoned healthcare professionals working with an Independent Physician Association (IPA) in Florida—Aby in medical billing and Jay in AR recovery.
Without hesitation, Aby and Jay left their stable jobs and moved to Michigan to help Dr. Sam get his clinic back on track. They set up streamlined workflows, optimized billing processes, and began supporting front-desk operations remotely. What started as a favor to a friend quickly turned into something much bigger. Word spread fast. Other clinics began reaching out for the same kind of support.
Within months, they realized they weren’t just helping one practice—they were solving a widespread problem faced by healthcare providers across the country. That’s when Medical Virtual Assistant was born.
Today, we are proud to lead a team of 500+ highly trained virtual medical assistants, supporting over 200 practices across the United States. Our MVAs specialize in everything from billing, coding, scribing, and front-desk operations to digital marketing, credentialing, and virtual triage.
